Óró 55 minutes
Company KHOR / Khoudia Touré
(Senegal)
dance
Suitable for all ages from 6 years old

Created in Senegal, France, and Canada with young adults on the cusp of adulthood, Óró is presented at the Dialaw Festival in an outdoor format, allowing for genuine interaction with the audience. Khoudia Touré thus journeyed in search of the words and bodies of cosmopolitan youth from three continents, creating circles of speech and gesture.
In this space of conversation, a hybrid gestural language emerges, where personal voice and collective narrative intersect. Ultimately, the dancers, drawn from hip-hop culture, embody human trajectories with incisiveness and vibrancy. They demonstrate how the power of words can transform bodies and create a new language, through listening to and welcoming the Other, and through the active force of a united humanity. This participatory piece invites reflection on the theme of empowerment. Combining humor, thrills, and reflection, the performance captivates the audience and guides them through a range of emotions.
